King's Oak School Year 1 Advent Service - Friday 6th December 2024
Dave Pamphilon, Linda Kelleyand Debbie Nejand explained what 'Advent' meant to the Year 1 school children from King's Oak School, with volunteers welcoming the children and helping with the audio-visual equipment.

A massive 'Thank You' to all who were involved in the planning and helped on the day! We are sure you will agree that all the hard work will have been worthwhile. It is impossible to thank everyone individually, so please accept this as a corporate 'well done' - and we hope you had a good time!

A lovely service was held at St John's to celebrate Jean Coker’s life , and was streamed live to allow her family in Australia to participate.

Saturday 13 July 2024 was our Fun Day!
A huge 'thank you' to all of the volunteers who helped with the preparation and were involved on the day.
The first Kingston & Wimbledon CAP Debt Centre Sponsored Walk took place on 2nd September 2023
We started from Teddington Lock and walked along the towpath to Richmond, crossed the bridge and walked back on the opposite bank of the Thames to Teddington Lock.

On Saturday 8th July 2023 we were pleased to welcome over 270 people to St John's for our annual Fun Day. The free barbecue and many games and stalls were enjoyed by the our local community and friends both inside and outside the church itself.

Revd. Eils Osgood is licensed as Associate Vicar at St John's New Malden
The Right Reverend Richard Cheetham, Bishop of Kingston, licensed Revd. Eils Osgood as Associate Vicar of St John's New Malden on 8th October 2019. Eils was welcomed by the Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Margaret Thompson, local church leaders and the St John's congregation. The sermon was given by the Dean of Fresh Expressions in the Diocese of Southwark, Canon Will Cookson.
Harvest at St John's
St John's congregation gave gifts of food to celebrate Harvest at the 10:30 Service on 6th October. These will be go with our regular Food Bank collection to the local Food Bank at New Malden Baptist Church (open Thursdays 10-12:30).

Alex Williams returns to St John's
We welcomed back Alex Williams who left St John's to train for ordination five years ago. Alex presided at our 6.30 communion on 27th January 2019 and it was great to see her again.
Three Kings Cake at Young at Heart

Dave Pamphilon in Ghana
St John's Dave Pamphilon joined a group from the Southwark Diocese in March. Dave is a SPA (Southwark Pastoral Auxiliary) and is one of twenty-two SPAs who volunteered for this short term project with Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA), a National Government Organisation (NGO). You can follow their progress through Carol Trower's blog which traces their experience - SPAs - live from Ghana
