St John's new Associate Vicar - Eils Osgood

The Revd Eileen Osgood

We are delighted to be able to announce that the Bishop of Southwark has, in consultation with the Revd Stephen Kuhrt, appointed the Revd Eileen Osgood to the post of Associate Vicar (Pioneer) of New Malden and Coombe (Christ Church and St John), with responsibility for St John the Divine, in the Deanery of Kingston, subject to the necessary legal formalities.

Eils is presently serving her curacy at St Peter with All Saints, Chertsey in the diocese of Guildford.

Eils studied Music at Cardiff University and then worked for churches in Cardiff, Birmingham and Reading, and for the Christian charity Tearfund. She trained for ordination at St Mellitus College in London and is passionate about seeing local churches flourishing in worship, discipleship and mission.

Eils is married to Matt, has two step-children (aged 11 and 10) and an 18-month-old son. They also have a mad Labrador called Oscar. In her spare time, Eils loves singing, walking the dog and cooking for family and friends. She, Matt and the children are all very much looking forward to joining the church family at St John’s and discovering what God has in store!

Eils’ last Sunday at Chertsey will be 15th September and she will be licensed at St John’s on Tuesday 8th October at 7.30pm.
